Is Online Psychotherapy Effective?
Research shows that online psychotherapy is as effective as in-person psychotherapy.
How Many Psychotherapy Sessions Will I Need?
It depends since every person is unique. Plan to attend for at least 6 months to a year, or longer.
How Often Should I Plan To Attend?
Again, it depends on the individual. I see clients weekly or bi-weekly. Over time, we may decide to space out the sessions further. When you feel like you’ve reached your goals and wish to discontinue therapy, a “good-bye session” is a good idea.
What Information Do You Need from Me Before Starting?
Before starting therapy with Bloomosity Psychotherapy, you’ll need to sign a consent document. Your name, phone number, home address, emergency contact name and phone number are also required. A valid credit card is also requested. Your privacy is protected and you will receive information about this prior to beginning therapy.
Do You Offer Free Sessions?
If you’d like to meet before committing to a session, I’m happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation. Just choose this option when booking.
How Much Do Psychotherapy Sessions Cost?
My fees are $150 per 50-minute session (taxes included). I do offer a sliding scale for lower-income persons ($75). Please ask me about this. Couples sessions are $170 per 75-minute session.
How Do I Use Your Online System?
You can set up appointments for yourself or I can do this for you. You’ll get an email with a link to access the secure online platform. When you log in, you’ll be asked to provide some personal information as well as a credit card. The platform will issue receipts as well as provide appointment reminders.
What If I Need to Change Or Cancel An Appointment?
Changes within 24 hours are accepted. Outside of this window, your credit card will be charged. Please follow up with me directly if there are special circumstances for cancellations within the 24-hour period.
Is Psychotherapy Covered By Insurance?
Most private insurance companies will cover psychotherapy services. However, you need to check with your provider first. Not all companies will cover this service.
