ABOUT ME

I know what it’s like to look like you’re doing fine – while feeling very different inside.

My path to becoming a psychotherapist wasn’t a straight one. It grew from my own curiosity about why we become who we are, the patterns we develop to cope, and what can happen when we begin to understand ourselves differently.

Today, I work with adults who may be functioning well on the outside while struggling with anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, relationship patterns, or the pressure to keep everything together.

Winding path through blue mountains beneath a golden sun

My path to becoming a therapist

Mental illness affected my family growing up, but it wasn’t something we talked about. I learned to carry on and present as though everything was okay, even when things felt very different underneath.

As an adult, I built a successful corporate career, yet there were times when I questioned myself, felt like an imposter, and wondered whether the life I had built was really the life I wanted.

Yoga became an important turning point. It helped me notice how much time I spent replaying the past, worrying about the future and being hard on myself. That curiosity eventually led me back to school to become a psychotherapist.

Along the way, I began to understand that our patterns don’t appear for no reason. They often develop as ways of navigating our experiences — and that understanding continues to shape the way I practise therapy today.

What it’s like to work with me

My style is warm, collaborative and non-judgmental. I’ll listen carefully, but I won’t simply sit silently while you do all the work. I’ll ask questions, share observations and help you notice connections that may be difficult to see when you’re in the middle of them.

I don’t believe you need to be “fixed.” Together, we can become curious about the patterns in your life, where they may have come from and whether they are still serving you.

You remain the expert on your own experience. My role is to bring curiosity, professional knowledge and another perspective to what we explore together.

Professional background

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario and a Registered Yoga Teacher. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, allowing me to draw from different therapeutic perspectives depending on you and what we are working on together.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent many years in the corporate world – experience that continues to inform my understanding of work, responsibility, relationships, expectations and the pressures we can place on ourselves.

If something here feels familiar, we can start with what’s happening for you right now.
